Roofing and contracting in Denver
Project Allies serves Denver homeowners and commercial property owners. A roof repair, an interior improvement and a large commercial reroof can follow different approval paths here; knowing the building and scope is the starting point.

Start with the building, not just the roof area
Denver routes certain commercial and multifamily roof projects at buildings of 25,000 square feet or more through additional review associated with its Green Buildings Ordinance. A property owner should establish the building's gross floor area, proposed work and applicable exemptions early. Roof area alone does not settle that question.
Historic status can change the sequence
Denver requires Landmark Preservation approval for roofing or siding work on individual landmarks and buildings in historic districts before the applicable permit. If your home has historic status, bring that information and any material requirements into the conversation before selecting a replacement finish.
Separate the roof from the interior scope
Denver applies for a roof permit separately from a general construction permit. When a project includes interior improvements as well as roof work, identify both scopes at the start. We can discuss roofing, remodeling, flooring and painting together while the approval requirements are established for the address.
Make the site visit useful
For a Denver property, send the address, building use and any roof or renovation records you hold. Tell us about loading access, occupied spaces and the outcome you need. Photos of the issue help us prepare; a site assessment is still needed to determine the work and discuss a realistic schedule.
